Mornington Peninsula Local History Network

Project: Touring exhibition: Postcards: Stories from the Mornington Peninsula
Location: Mornington Peninsula Victoria

Year: 2014-2015

Eight historical societies from the Mornington Peninsula came together to tell their unique stories of a time in Victorian history when holidaying was a grand pastime, and when the special and unique locales of our relatively young country began to be appreciated, celebrated and shared in that iconic mode of communication: the picture postcard.

The exhibition toured venues across Mornington Peninsula and Melbourne.

Cultural Matters was engaged to manage the design, production, installation and tour of the exhibition.

It was a great pleasure to work with Georgia on the touring exhibition Postcards from the Mornington Peninsula which was sponsored and supported by the Mornington Peninsula Shire. I engaged Georgie to curate and project manage the installation of this exhibition.

Her professionalism, enthusiasm and attention to detail ensured that this project was a great success. Her rapport with the Mornington Peninsula Local History Network was genuine and respectful. I have no hesitation in recommending Georgia as a highly competent arts and culture project consultant.
